Business Insurance Coverage - For Mobile Tinters

Gregg
Any advice on Insurance Coverage for a Mobile Tinter? I'm planning on going out on my own again doing mobile instead of shop work. Doing installs at customer residence and maybe some dealerships/shops or sub-contract work if I can score any.

How much in coverage do you recommend? What does a dealer/shop typically require in coverage for vendors?

Types? To my understanding, you only need Garage Keepers if your moving customer vehicles? Right/wrong?

What about insurance for my vehicle which I will use for personal and business? I've read your personal vehicle insurance co. will not cover or void your policy if you use your vehicle for business purposes too.

Any good companies?

Other suggestions for good info?

Already did the forum search and called a few companies, no joy and a real pain.

Any advice from your experience would be helpful...thanks!!!

hmmmmmmm.gif hmmmmmmm.gif Thats an interesting posit. I'd imagine that since the variables are not controlled, it might be considerably higher (if available at all) than if you had a shop where you control access, environment, etc. I really don't know about that. dunno.gif Surely your auto insurance would cover you in an accident, but what if something happened to it at the dealership lot, would the dealerships ins. kick in at that point? Or at a custys house? Would thier homeowners ins. cover any mishap? If a car ran off the road and hit the car, then THEIR ins. should cover it. But what if you fried an electrical, or computer system? Any number of scenarios come into play.
Please someone mobile with insurance respond. I just GOTS to know!!! (Crap!!! now Im gonna lay awake wondering about this!!! THANKS ALOT!!!!) lol2.gif lol2.gif
My garage keepers covers the vehicle while in my custody/care. If a cow falls out of the sky and hits the vehicle, it's covered. Since I do not pick up or deliver, that point is moot. As to the amount of coverage, just depends on the type of car you're gonna be working on. I have 100,000 coverage, and can boost that on a per use basis if I'm gonna work on something REALLY exotic. (Don't see that happening tho....) thumb.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
