If anyone has tried drumming up non bidding type commercial business which works best, Mailing information to businesses that may need tint or actually stopping in and talking with the manager?
IMO stopping in and talking w/someone face to face always works better, you need to do alot of mailing to get a minimal return (just my exp) with it
If you are face to face with someone, you can answer questions instead of sending them something to read then they have questions set it down to deal with something else and forget about it or put it off until they have more time to deal with it QUOTE (mountainmang @ Jan 22 2007, 12:09 AM) [*]468998[/*] i don't care who you are, that's funny sounded pretty good to me.. it's hard to find serious answers on this site. ask your rep to help you.
I was just looking for people who have been there done that, not some guy behind a desk (rep). You just have to weed out the A-holes sometimes to get a good answer, I have found that most people on here like to help their fellow tinter out. Then you get those "special" ones who think they are too high on the totem pole to answer any questions that require some thought. But, thats just my opinion and I look forward for this post to be locked out because I probably started an a potential avalanche.
We do mailouts, phonebook ads, commercials and home shows among other things. We get good response from all of them. It all depends on your target audience, just like anything else.

But what do I know.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
