We are all looking for a felt, preferably sticky, the best thing i can find is velcro but not the hooked side, the other side of it (felt) but only company that i can get this off is a company called autoleads that supply cabling and stuff for the motor trade dunno.gif

reflexis in southampton sell it in 50 ft rolls. but its about £24 ish. self adhesive felt strips.

not sure if they have any in stock but give them a go!

Hey bob, try your local market stalls, i get mine from an OAP that runs a fabric stall locally at 30p a meter.... thumb.gif

Might be a stupid question and I know I'm opening myself up for a pis* take, but why the hell do you need it? dunno.gif

if you put tint onto the fronts of say a saxo or 106 that doesnt have felt then, guaranteed, it'll scratch asap, and badly too! apply the felt then it should drastically reduce this if not stop it!

doesnt matter how much you inform the customer, when it scratches they come back with arms a flappin!

I've never had any come-backs for that problem, but now I know, I'll keep it in mind.
I'm guessing its a door card off job and remove the bottom rubber trim, the felt sticks onto the inside of the trim?

It's not a meter long and an inch wide you numpty - it's a metre square normally. You just cut it into strips, you'll get about 10 cars out of your £1.50 - now even you can stretch to that surely.

NO. It was on a roll 25mm wide. I asked if they done a similar fabric/material by the squ mtr dut was told no.

and may I just say I find being called numpty rather offensive. Its Mr Numpty to you.

Emailed reflexis, they do it but are out of stock at the moment, expecting some in next week apparently.

I've been tinting for years and have never had a 'comeback' for scratching. dunno.gif I never remove door cards, I use plastic paint skirting board shield behind the rubber gaskets, never had a problem. Most cars today are too complicated to pull the panels without damage, adding felt is going to put the price sky high.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
