And the seals are blowing right behind you!
But I'm sure you'll edit after I bring it to your attention. (vclimber @ Feb 20 2007, 04:45 PM) [*]480762[/*] And the seals are blowing right behind you! Nice job Mdog....
looks good, and a nice size job aswell.
I thought it was going to be a total cluster but it wasnt that bad, just real dusty adn durty up there.
It was 12 or so foot to the top platform and the first thing i see when i climb the ladder is 3 big rat traps rat traps and bird shvit all over everything
did you remove the gaskets on those?
DR-15 is nice looking film, looks good.
(vclimber @ Feb 20 2007, 07:07 PM) [*]480797[/*] DR-15 is nice looking film, looks good. i dont know...looks too reflective for my taste.. (tintgod @ Feb 20 2007, 04:14 PM) [*]480807[/*] i dont know...looks too reflective for my taste.. Really?
Yo GOLDMEMBER dem derrr windwers were in a metal frame, no gaskets to remove and shizzzzzzzzzz.
the bottom row of windows already had seal failures The windows on the bottom were fvcked up long before i tinted them
Very Nice!
(tintman237 @ Feb 20 2007, 05:05 PM) [*]480863[/*] Of course in this case it was the film's fault. (vclimber @ Feb 20 2007, 06:07 PM) [*]480866[/*] Of course in this case it was the film's fault.
the mere thought of filming those windows caused the seals to fail.
DR 15, I like the look outside, BUT gawd, all the DR film looks TOO bronze from the inside
Have you ever seen the the reflectivity from the inside at night? I was wondering because I may be doing a commercial job using DR-15 and was wondering how reflective the stuff was at night??????

Tee Hee!
haha looks good

He was asking about reflectivity so my comment was in regards to that, not color.
Looks real nice !
Didn't trust TT to help you out ?
looks good mdog, i like the reflective look from outside...and its good to see some dark papas being slung
(blade @ Feb 21 2007, 09:09 AM) [*]481144[/*] ooooh do i have to disagree compare suntek's symphony to llumar's DR compare hanita's optitune to llumar's DR llumar's stuff is VERY bronze looking compared to ALL the others. compare it to johnson's or solargard's too I shall agree to disagree; Regarding the DR 35, 25,&15: They each have interior reflectivity of only 13% - much better than the list of films mentioned.(perhaps) When put up as a sample versus other films mentioned consumer usually prefers the DR look. It is earth tone, not bronze - compare bronze from any manufacturer with this film and they look either copper or reddish. It is a great film, and any 15 percent metalized film with a warranty of 5 years breakage will appear reflective on the exterior Prior to using DR-35 in 90% of my jobs now, I was big on bronze35 guy. In my home I have B35 and DR35. The bronze can get a big creepy at night, the DR35 is hardly noticed. The bottom line is to satisfy the issue of your customer and get paid and never have to go back. Llumar's DR line has a very nice look, unique among the DR's that I have seen... Still can't use the 25 around here though.
you're right....it definitely looks more 'earthtone' than bronze. but compared to the others i mentioned it still looks bronze
The only place I would even consider using DR-25 is on tempered glass. Then again might as well use DR-15
(windoworx @ Feb 22 2007, 06:01 PM) [*]481954[/*] The only place I would even consider using DR-25 is on tempered glass. Then again might as well use DR-15 The 15 has lower absorbtion so it can fly on annealed in most places.
