Full Version: Advertising techniques
Im still kinda new to the industry and am trying to devise new ways to go about advertising. Ive got a website, yellow page ad, mailers, door hangers, word of mouth, etc. I was curious what you guys have tried and whats worked for you?
You got most of my bases covered.
Don't forget to talk to people. Glass shops, decorators, painters, etc.
Along with co-workers who you might notice have no tint, or tint going bad.
Frankly, because my biz in new in the area, about 75% of mine is from knocking on doors. Whenever I see anyone getting slammed, commercial or residential, I knock and pitch.
most importantly do your best work all of time and make sure you stand behind it. if a customer has a problem take care of it in a timely manner. if youre good at tinting you shouldnt have any problems getting customers without any advertising
When ever I am at the Home Depot, grocery store or anywhere for that matter, I look for cars that are "popular" tinters (Mustangs, Altimas, You know whats the best sellers) and stick a card in the seal on the drivers door if it's not tinted. Believe it or not, I been gettin about a 50% to 60% return on them!!!
For commercial work, I see a place gettin' hammered, I introduce myself and my Co. and say I see that they have a problem with the sun. I hand them a card and a commercial brochure. Take one of thier cards and leave. About a week later, I'll follow up on it. Give them time to think about it. Most will have questions and be more willing to talk about it at that point.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. © 1999 - 2009 Ric Wellman All Rights Reserved. Contact: tintdude[a]gmail.com | |||
