CL 550

I have one of these coming up. Anyone done one yet? I know the sides are frameless and have that annoying seal feature when the doors are opened. Any tricks for those sides other than fooling the door into thinking it's closed?

just did two of these last week both were 06 models, doors are peice of cake, as is the rear window. qtrs are a bit tricky though. i pulled the gasket out to make for a cleaner install. its got three screws holding a chrome peice over the rubber. then theres a screw under a cover on the handle/grip thing. after taking the screw out pull the handle cover thing off and youll find two ten mm bolts, take those out and you can pull the panel back to remove the gasket.

great info on rear seals, I prefer the seal removal for cleaner installs on all CL & CLK models. .........
