Full Version: DVD Presentation

naughtydog
Rather than going through the motions and explaining to customers about dot matrix, drying time, film choices, other issues...I think a small presentation of about 5 minutes would be good to show the customers before you start work on there car.

I have a waiting room with DVD, I would sit them in there and force them to watch the dvd whilst I start on the job.

What is a good piece of software to do this with - are there any free ones that will do the job?

Maybe TD himself could produce a TD branded one?

As far as the small presentation goes sounds like a good thing as long as you can keep there attention for that long . You will need some good music for the back ground not that p**n stuff lol2.gif

I guess you were talking about a software to make the dvd with , hope so thats what i posted .
naughtydog
Aagh...I want to know what software is good for compiling the DVD, software I can import a backing track to and import pictures etc.

I hadn't seen this post. I think it's a great idea for the tinters that know how to successfully provide all the choices thumb.gif

Hey Naughty,
I'm going to do one myself to! Just starting the script! Flaugh.gif
I'm going to use the windows moviemaker, it cames with all windows versions and it's pretty easy to use.
Use it to compile the movie, adding sound and everything, then wen your done you'll have a AVi or other kind file as end result, then just use Nero so recode it to mpeg4 format (dvd) and record it!
Hope that helps and answer all your questions!
BTW i'm also going to do a instalation movie for starters! Hope this helps with the FF system from LEO krazy.gif krazy.gif krazy.gif

I have both Sony Movie Studio/DVD Architect, and Adobe Premiere. I too, want to produce a 5 min or so presentation on the benefits of film for residential, and commercial applications. MY idea is to mass produce them in a VCD/SVCD format, package them in a well designed sleeve and use them as mailers in our more upscale residential communities. Listings of new housing permits are available at the county clerks office for free. I think people are gonna be more apt to watch it, than read a flyer. dunno.gif . I also would take it a step further, putting it on business card minicd's, with my card printed on it. Give them out to the "more affluent" custys.

I have been on the phone with Bekaert, CP Films and a few others about subsidizing one, to no avail. I was told that If I came up with one, they might be interested in buying it tho.... As always, we get to do the work for them. So when I do get mine finished, the only company that will be mentioned by name will be mine!!!

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
