QUOTE (b_cole @ May 8 2007, 08:24 PM) [*]505890[/*] i have one booked for thursday and it is my first notchback. any tips would be great not a bad car at all really. If I remember right they have those dang little seatbelt covers on the back deck that you will want to take out for easier access. Other than that not a bad car at all as far as I can remember.
fairly curved glass, but nothing too hard. I have only one in my memory and that car had not interior in it....guy was building a drag car. I had no problem with it.
it isnt the easy hatrch back one thats for sure. we call that the chp style here. it is fairly curved and a little difficult to unroll on the inside, so youre gonna want top pull all out of the way. put your anchor a tad high.
I always hated the rollups on that car worst than the back glass.
It's not that bad.
![]() The door windows go forward as they go down. Watch out for that.
after you cut your side and top edge you may wanna transfer the tint to the inside and mark your straight edge. window goes in 3" past the side mirror.
thanks for the help guys. i'll let you know how it turns out
pop the door panel and remove the mirror, helps get a real nice clean cut for that side. and boy do those winders shift!
well i guess ill have to tint one another day had a no show.
just got done with a hatch and a notchback. the hatch is definitely easier and im with whoever said they would rather do the rear window over the doors. what a pain once they go off track
this is my 91 that i had security film on the driver and pass. and dn35 threw out the rest...
![]() i died in this car 4 yrs ago...brought back to life and i have scars and a titanium rod in me feemor ![]() i allways like to leave the front cut long and remove the beauty cap behind the mirror to cut on the inside..that was the first time i did them, but removed the glass the second time to lock the security film to the regulator...it helped in the wreck
Most of those stangs are easy, I agree with pulling the mirror out, just makes life that much easier?? Rear window I would always anchor closer to the top, just my style though.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
