Any success with door hangers?

Ok, I've done a few searches throughout TD, and can't seem to find the specific answer I'm looking for.

For anyone that's done the door hangers:
How much business do you feel it actually brought you?

We're thinking about getting some printed, but I seem to find mixed emotions about them.
We've already got the truck done with the business logo/info, and very nice glossy (expensive) business cards, shirts, etc. Just looking for a little "boost" to get things rolling a little faster.

Thanks,
Bryan

Making the truck into a rolling billboard has paid dividends. I can't leave the house for 20 min and not get at least one call. Best money I've spent on advertising!!!

As for the door hangers, at least in my neck of the woods, all the "money" houses are in gated communities that prohibit soliciting. mad3.gif , There are some houses on the brows of the mountains here that get blasted with sun, and I've done well with door hangers out there, but it really sux that all the money is kept behind gates with restricted access. Try taking an ad in the community newsletters for those High end Sub-divisions. I am. dunno.gif beer.gif

I do door hangers all the time. Except for the last 2 weeks I have more than enough business. I tend to get about 2-3 estimates out of about every 50-75 I hang. The fastest way is to hang them on the mailboxes while driving. Also get the ones already made by your tint distributor. You can get a 100 pack from JWF for about 10 bucks. They look professional and all you need to do is stamp your info on the back. Also always hang them in the area you just got tinting in or if you just completed an estimate. Either way you are being efficient with your time. I do only flatglass and it has helped quite a bit for me anyways.

what do you consider a "hot spot" for tint? I've got a pretty open market in my area for some reason. since i've started to look at businesses and homes, i've noticed a lot of places could use it. I'm going to try to sell tint to a loft complex in a nearby town soon.

What I normally do is find new subdivisions with mid to upper scale homes, drive thru them and see which houses get the most SW sun and hang some door hangers on those ones. No use hanging hangers on houses that are shaded by trees..

And then I follow him, take off his, and hang mine. cooldot.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
