Im looking specifically for solar absorbtion. Need to know if this film is safe for dualpane.

Indpendent lab study specs would be ideal.

3m says it is but in the same breath say can not guarantee
tintcousa
Also does anyone know of an equivalent
darkdan
NOTHING is guaranteed in life.

I've laid over 800 sq/ft of it or so on low-e windows.

Arches too.

V shadows, etc.

No breakage.

All information is much apprieciated. Thank you.

Really? Even at 5000 feet with ambient temps of 110 on an east facing window with a V-shadow in a concrete frame with old hardened glazing?

Dood ask who will warranty it, not will it work. eyebrows.gif
Some self judgement on elevation and shading should be used as well as experience. Those manuf. will cover, but still doesn't make up for the pain in the arse IF it has probs...

The V28 and several others previously mentioned are available in 72 inch widths, NV25 is not. This can become an issue in certain homes- seams are not acceptable for most consumers particularly at that VLT. The 3M widths are 40/50/60 -this may or may not increase waste -depending on the window widths.

For accuracy sake on glass restrictions contact the 3M tech services people ; there you wll likely get a straight answer.

Why won't they warranty it? Or do you mean to say that won't guarantee it won't break? 3M rates NV-25 as safe for insulated glass unless certain other conditions are present (like the window is oversized, etc), so when you say they can't guarantee it -- do you mean that won't warranty it on a particular job or you are just hearing double speak. And when you say '3M' do you mean the lab or the 3M rep or the distributor or a local dealer?

I use it all the time on insulated glass and haven't had problems with breakage.

(are you a dealer or prospective customer?)

How many square feet per pane are these panes?

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
