mobile home + annealed glass

Hello again,
So I've got a deposit to tint a mobile home that gets a lot of sun and they dont have an airconditioner. Anyways. They want it as dark as I can get it. I'm planning on using the suntek symphony series for its reflective properties. The glass is very thin, so I'm assuming it's 1/8" annealed (even if it's 1/4", it doesnt make a difference on the F/G chart). Has anyone tinted a mobile home? What have you noticed about them? If i use SYDS 15, I get a total stress of 10, minus the additional stress factor for their blinds (which is +1). They have those white plastic slotted blinds in their home. Do you guys usually worry about this style blind? I'm going to go back tomorrow and talk to the woman and see if she would be okay with the SYDS 25, and to also look to see just how far the blinds are from the windows. Any input? Thanks guys

Guys are going to bash me here, but here it goes.

I live in a mobile home, and I tinted the rear windows with solar gards grey/silver/grey 10 about, well, it was when atlanta played minnesota in the divisional platoffs to go to the super bowl, so I dont know how long ago it was. hmmmmmmm.gif dunno.gif Lets just say its been awhile. It looks good today, no problems, except it is very dark, which is what i wanted, so it would block the glare off of our T.V. It is in full sun most of the day, and the outside airhandler is right below it. We also have those mini blinds behind it. If it were going to be a problem, it would have happened along time ago.

I am thinking of re-tinting it with hanita tek's optitune 5. dunno.gif

Oh, and the thickness, 1/8" annealed if you are lucky. Most are 1/16" thick.

okay. 1/16" thick. got it. they seemed thin, but i didnt know. Flaugh.gif. so then there will be even less stress on the window if I go ahead and put the symphony 15 on it? i'm just concerned about breakage.

As long as the gasketing system is still good you should be alright.

why is it a 10 on the F2G chart for a highly reflective film?

He said total stress, so I think he already added in the other stuff.

1/8" primary stress for syds 25 is 5, and for syds 15 it is 6. My additional stress factors as I'm assuming, is 3 for T and V shading, 1 for a steel frame (i dont know what mobile home frames are?) and then 1 for having the white plasticy blinds in the window. the largest window is a tempered sliding door measuring 15 sq ft. each window is between 5 and 8 sqft. The rubbers looked good. the home is brand new.
