Subaru wrx cold starting problems

Hi all any ideas on my problem my Subaru 1995 import has develloped a problem when cold it really needs a lot of key turning to get it to start it sounds really rough missing ect then it just springs into life again like there was nothink wrong , this only happens first start of the day then its fine for the rest of the day , it drives well no noticable loss of power , my check engine light is on , i have checked water oil ect and found levalls are all ok but the light remains on was hopeing to lett the locall subaru dealer scan it but they dont to imports as things are very slightly differnt from a uk model so im told , i would luve to find someone with a machine to check it out locall and one got any ideas please im in devon

we're not mechanics, but if i had to venture a guess, i'd say that whatever is causing your check engine light to come on, that's what needs fixed :ino

hi, i have the same problem that just started with my 95 wrx import. did you find out what the fault was? cheers mate
