Graphics and Lettering

I am new to the graphics thing and wondering how you guys/gals do pricing. I have had some customers intersted in it but don't know how much to charge them. Any advice would be great.

depends....are you using high performance vinyl? are we talking auto graphics? or signs? how much competition do you have? etc. etc. etc

yes high preformance film on autos and signs like i said know very little about this so any help would be great almost no cometition with in 30 mile. in particular a guy wants me to letter his tow truck, he wands his name on both the doors across the hood and his ph numbers on both sides of the bed. nothing fancy

tow trucks usually want reflective....that the case here?

he did not say, i guess i need to ask him..the only thing he told me was white.

general rule of thumb in my old shop was : what ever I could make off of them and keep them coming back for more.

your new to it so it'll take some time but if you come away at the end of the job feeling you got hosed on the deal then you know to charge more next time. Include your design time and material costs and you will always make out ok. I'd charge 50-75 a door depending if its "Joe's Towing" or some multi layered tow truck design you have to weed out and apply. Basic lettering is always cheaper than designs because you basically just have to type it in...unless its a crazy font or something then charge accordingly. I'd say anywhere from $350-$750 for the truck...the low end is if you just put "Joe's Towing" same font and color. hope that help a little. i dont know prices in your area either so i could be off, just tryin to help
