Full Version: radio reception problem on an accord

I only do flat glass so Im not up on all the car stuff but we had a call about the radio not picking up in a 2001 Honda accord. The owner bought the car tinted and thinks it is a metal film. Is this a problem with Hondas?

Check the antenna connection and the radio ground....

Not sure about the film causing it, doubtful though.....

AM or FM

..If it's trouble with AM then perhaps..FM..no way its the film

all factory stuff..so Im thinking a bad radio

If it is a metalized film, and it is a WEAKER FM station, ABSOLUTLY it could be the film.
If its the most popular FM station in town, and he/she can't pick it up or is having issues, then nope.

If I remember correctly, those antennas plug in on the top pass side of the glass, check the connection there and mke sure its OK/plugged in

yep its the TINT!!!!
