We do them nearly everyday,no problems, 1 hours work, don't bother panel removing, line your film on the outside bottom rubber, trim the sides, drop the glass and cut the top edge, neaten up your cuts on your board, clean, drop the glass 1", install, top edge first, microedge, card, close the window, hook the bottom edge under the rubber, squegee, job done. No damaged panels, broken clips, 10 minutes max for a roll down.

If your a panel remover ( like what I am, but trying to master tint technology's method but not there yet)
Behind plastic clip with airbag motif and the chrome type strip ( which pops off easily ) there are 2 torx screws, remove these, pop the panel along the top edge and remove the weather strip alowing easy access to slip your film between door and glass. takes 2 mins to remove trim and screws and weatherstrip if not able to tint with panel on. I was advised when they came out at first NOT to flush the left hand rear quarter glass as all the electronics where located below this, as in the range rovers. If it gets too wet it fcuks up the sat nav and electronics. Bob
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
