Full Version: DONK seats

Here's some seats I did a couple weeks ago. They are going in a 1988 Cutlass, painted the same colors as the seats. The orange and yellow is suede, and the green is embossed leather custom dyed using SEM Sure-Coat system. The builder (Discombobulated Motorsports out of East St. Louis) didn't want any of the hard panels on the backs, sides, or around the base, so I eliminated all of them and made my own mechanism covers.

just my opinion here...but those have to be the ugliest seats i have ever seen,,but you did a good job on them.

I made sure to stand at the work table with the builder and a piece of chalk. We marked right on the seat how he wanted the center section narrowed, and I wrote the colors right on the seat. Then I had him pick out the colors and also drew a diagram on my work order to make sure it was what he wanted. They loved them when they came to pick them up. Go figger.

And thanks for the kudos on the build. I added foam, straightened the frames, and reworked them to get rid of all the hard side panels and backing plates. They weren't in the best of shape.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
