I don't have a full load of cars right now so you can see the building a little better. We did just recently have a bit of construction on the front of the building (installed a large picture window). And over the winter we put in an additional 8' wide x 36' long loft extension. The shop areas underneath, like the wood and metal and paint, are still messy because they became the dumping ground.
I built an oversized work table that has two sewing stations, with the Consew on one end and the Seiko at the other. It's 5' wide to handle bench seats, decks, what have you. I also built it taller than stock. It's made to my height so I don't have to bend at all while I'm working. Sure saves the back at the end of the day.
Yes, the materials loft is a disaster, I know. I have another rack that I need to get up in there and start going through all the rolls. But it is SO easy to just toss it up there. :-)
One of these days, it'll be all white with a decorative stripe around it. ALL florescent tubes from one end to the other, checkerboard flooring for the customers and epoxy gray for the rest. Oh heck, lets just toss in ALL Craftsman cabinetry and Jeeves the butler to keep it all organized.
