anyone know how to get em off drivin me nuts feel like im gonna break it
pull the plug out of the wiper-loosen the nut-should pull right off....
order a tool, will come in handy. ask your local windshield guy to buy one off of him. get the universal one with 2 prongs and two screwdowns.
just be careful on the ones that the post has an intergrated squirter. you can mess those up. the gti/rabbits have them and a couple others. just check before you clamp and screw.
pop the plug out, I think it's a 12 or 13 mm nut, and off it comes.

Im still wondering why take it off...it needs minimum heat if any in that area.

If it is in fact the inside motor, it comes off with a reverse thread torx I believe. There might be a few more bolts in there. I just remember the reverse messen me up. The only reason I ever removed it because the inside cover was aginst the glass.
the escape is the same as a tribute, right
if so, I did a tribute last sunday and the rear wiper didnt have a nut holding it on, instead it had a tap that extends from the right side of the post, but to the top of the wiper arm, and it has a small hole in the top of the tab, just pull out on the wiper arm, and with a small seal pick or screw driver, pry up on the tab, then lower the wiper arm back down, and the arm will come right off
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. © 1999 - 2009 Ric Wellman All Rights Reserved. Contact: tintdude[a]gmail.com | |||
