Tinting my 96 mustang convertible

I have already done the 2 little passanger and driver side windows andI am about to do the back window. Since its a convertible its alot different then a hard top and in the interior there is a little wire with a plastic case attached to the window....How should i approach cutting the tint to fit around this? Should i cut around the little plactis housing after i have it all done in the inside of the window?

That's a good question. Truth is, no one here does convertibles. We took a vow when we entered into this fine industry that we, as a group, would no longer do convertibles or cars with green interiors. Sorry we can't help you. When you figure it out, let us know. I've always wondered how conv. tops were done.

is there one on each side of the glass? if so, those are the wires that run your defroster, just un plug the black part from the glass, you will still need to cut the tint around the metal tabs attached to the glass, but then you can plug the black pieces back in afterwards. and yes cut it on the inside.

otherwize your looking at 300 ish to have it resewn or alot more to replace top...

good luck but to be honest as long as you got a mirror on each side of the car. lets face it you don't really look out that window much anyway. do what all us good tinters do when we have to do a convertible... just get a can of gloss black spray paint and go to town. i know what your thinking but it won't look bad just make sure you paint on inside of window... don't tell everyone else here this cause its a
