Full Version: santa fe back glass
doin 1 in the next hour,i know this should be in other section but need a fast reply,i know how to remove struts but how do i remove two bolt that are through glass, alot of window is dot matrix so could i just tint up to normal edge and not cover matrix, not sur whats best guys
cover the matrix or it'll look stupid.
taking the bolts out that are through the glass should be easy, usually there's a part you hold still and another part you turn. before you put it all back together, be sure to heat the area around the holes 2 or 3 times and squeegee every molecule of water out of the film in that area. That'll help keep the film from twisting

thanks guys got it done anyway, most of the window was dot matrix so i tinted whole glass cutting round bolts that were through the matrix,it looked perfect from outside
You can tint up to the matrix and you cant even tell the difference...you just made a load of work for yourself there.

damm if i had know that,i would have just done 3mm into the matrix,it was 5% i put on so i prob could have got away with it
It wouldn't have looked that good from the inside with 5%, if it were 20% you wouldn't be able to tell too much from the inside.
You can get away with every time...never had any complaints.
When I did my first one I stripped it all down.
