Full Version: what the heck??
yesterday we worked on a building with about 574 sq ft at first, then we ended up doing another 100sq ft at the last minute.
i was using hanita op 05% 60x100, and had another partial 60x25. i dunno if the film company is screwing me over or what, but i was running out of film half way thru (vclimber @ Sep 15 2007, 04:24 PM) [*]544866[/*]
Hold his guitar for ransom.
(vclimber @ Sep 15 2007, 04:32 PM) [*]544873[/*] Hold his guitar for ransom. im gonna have a chat with him soon. hanita's films show you on the liner how much film you have left. towards the endo f the roll at first it said 40 then it jumped to 50. when it was down to 29 feet it jumped back up to 34. when it was 13 feet it jumped up to 19 (TINT @ Sep 15 2007, 04:35 PM) [*]544877[/*] im gonna have a chat with him soon. hanita's films show you on the liner how much film you have left. towards the endo f the roll at first it said 40 then it jumped to 50. when it was down to 29 feet it jumped back up to 34. when it was 13 feet it jumped up to 19 Wait, he's got more than one guitar, better take both of em.
you needed 137 linear feet of 60" so it sounds right that you needed another roll. and thats just adding an inch at top and bottom.

Thats a great idea. -SF (Steelfly @ Sep 21 2007, 03:26 PM) [*]546930[/*] Can't say I've ever saw film with numbers on the liner showing how much you have left on the roll. same thing i noticed when i was helping our flat guys. i was pulling film and noticed the little numbers were not in order. it said i had 14 ft. left when i had barely pulled 60 in. then from there it was all off.
noticed this same thing in the OT 22 box too. great to know how much you have left but only if its a little more accurate. swear to god i dont know who's who.
I make the guys at my shop mark off every piece of film they pull and mark it on the side of the box, I do this for all my film, auto comm and res. It helps me keep tabs on how much I got left and helps with inventory control(theft)
