Full Version: Pricing Q's?

jsntarrant
Hey guys once again, i gotta say great forum here! I lurk a lot...anyway, we are getting a tinter in the shop...we primarily do audio/video, custom fiberglass, etc. but I got tired of farming out the tint work.

Anyone know or can steer me in the direction to figure out how to price? By window or sq/ft? I have Llumar film and Sun-tek & Solar Gard film to try and see which ones we like best and have the least issues with.

And I did use the search button and could not find the info I was looking for so I apologize if this is a redundant question beer.gif

Thanks

Hi Jason,
It is a redundant question, and one there really isn't a solid answer for,

1. Call around in your area, find out what going rates are for local shops, prices differ too much from area to area, and film brands being used. That's why you can't find any threads on "specific" pricing.
2. Decide if you want to price yourself at or above the going rates in your area,

3. figure up on average how much film it's going to cost you to do a vehicle, the 3 brands you listed are all going to be priced diferently in purchasing from the respective dist.

4. you can do a "set" price for 2 door cars, 4 door cars, 2 doors etc etc etc, or you can price each vehicle based on dificulty of the job, entirely up to you.

Good Luck with your adventure beer.gif beer.gif

if youre looking for an installer, im willing to travel there for a couple set days per week for a film installer. i use to drive up to wisconsin to tint fridays and saturdays but they didnt want to pay what i needed to make it profitable to drive 5.5 hours every weekend. email me at koolkusutmz@hotmail.com or message me if interested and we can discuss things.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
