Dry Shrink Backglass
TINTZEUS
Sep 29 2007, 07:09 PM
Prep the outside of the backglass anyway. Scrub it, blade it, wipe it clean with paper towel. Then spray the glass with soap and water. Next, wipe the glass with the micro fiber towel. The soap and water will dry in 3 - 5 seconds....no static...makes for an eazy dry shrink. No need for baby powder, dryer sheets or a bar of soap.... or spraying the glass with soap and water and waiting for it to dry.....

I'm too used to using bounce, that I don't even try new methods. But if one day I run out I might give it a try.

I know there is reasons why some don't use them, but I've been using them this long and don't have any ill effects. So I think I'll keep using them. Thanx for the advice, but I guess I'm just being stubborn in my old ways.

i thought i had replied on this thread, maybe it got deleted but this technique does not help on any decently hard cars. it will stick it certain spots which could potentially cause you to crease it. just my .02 but doesnt seem worth it

I usually just clean the the glass with soap and water and a squeegee, I scrub it when necessary. I´m wondering what will be the difference if i use the micro fiber towel instead?

seems OK .. like most all other methods. Once you get used to it, then it's 'your' method. Been using Magic Sizer for at least 7 years or so now .. think I'll stick with it.

i have been doing this for a while, it sems to work better when the towels are brand new. the microfibers leave a slight dust particle of the fiber on the glass. if you wash our windshield off with one youll se it at night when the headlights from on coming traffic hit the glass

I did it today..... worked great.....perfect
