The blue Galaxy I did last winter was back from Iowa for a color-matched custom console, and a repair to the top boot. They had to be at the parade on Friday night. At the same time I got in a 1957 Chevy 3100 truck with a really bad case of seat uglies. Rice burner buckets on a two tiered platform, not covered to match the truck, and a homemade console in between. The owner had the original bench seat and decided he wanted indented seating areas with U-shaped bolstering in two-tone to match the truck.
Juggling those two along with a Jag headliner redo and a couple dealer jobs caused 3 a.m. nights on Thursday and Friday. At 4p on Friday, when the Galaxy was picked up, the truck had no carpet, headliner, installed seat (it was done on the floor), gas tank cover, or shifter boot. When I cleaned up the last of the smudges at 3a., it was all together. He was at the door at 6:45a. to take it to the show.
Made for a long weekend, especially when I had to do an embossed flame job on an American Ironhose seat and buddy pad on Saturday night after the show. He picked it up Sunday at the booth.
Uphosteratin R Fun.
