I offer NO FAULT on all the cars I tint. If you charge extra for them...why not. I mean, how many claims will you have to tint out of 100...maybe 2. Just do the math, No Fault is an asset to your business and a way to get more business if your competition doesn't offer this warranty. Just my twocents.gif

The free "No Fault" warranty is a very good hook. I charge a bit more than my competition, but do not charge for the additional warranty coverage. I also DO NOT include the back glass in the no fault part of the warranty. It's specifically excluded in the free part. I cover only the glass thats apt to get damaged in the normal course of events. Hey, it's free coverage!! Generally, If a B/G gets damaged, there was a determined effort to do so. If the custy DOES want the B/G covered, I charge for that one.

i just wanted to know if anyone offers no fault on back glass, the no fault is a no brainer. nobody in my area charges it and if you do the research just as on tires the return rate is less then 1%.

so if you are charging 40 to 50 a pop and you sell 20 per month thats 800.00 pure profit, how many come backs per month 1 or 2 maybe, you pay your tinter 50 to 60 bucks to cover his time and you make 700 plus easy money. times that by 12 and watch it work.

this is way better than roadhazard on tires because you have to actually buy a tire, with tint there is little cost

if you sell wheels / tires

Hi All

For the " no fault warranty " Do you think it is better to incorporate it in the price or have a lower price and sell it seperatly?

Like $49.99 for a " no fault warranty ?
SIR TINTSALOT
I like this idea, but what would be a fair price for a no fault warranty?
cloppy
some people say $40 - $50 for the whole car.

I read aother post about a guy that raised his prices and bundled in into the price.

I think personally that I would rather get the customer in with a $199 price and when the tint job is complete try to upsell the " no fault warranty " for a premium

We buy our film from courage window films in bc canada and the manufacturer offers no fault warranty I buy them for a small fee and upsell them in event a window gets broke I submit my claim to the compnay and they pay me labour and material which is teh same as if customer pays

On a no fault warranty that excludes the back window, i tell my customers if they can refer someone to me that needs there windows tinted and they bring me business , then i'm more then happy to take care of there back window also! Make your customers work for you!!!! thumb.gif

20 is your cost for no fault from a very large manufacturer, average full size four door car, so 40 retail is not unreasonable.

I would slide up and down based on square footage though.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
