Now you know the newer 'vettes aren't nearly as hard as everyone tells you they are. Anyone (else) pull the door seals and get past the double swiper? Read most all the posts on here before making a first post, never saw anyone mention that. The seals come out about the same way as a Dodge Ram. (door panels are only held on with 2 10mm bolts if you wanted to take the whole panel off. Only takes a few seconds).
Looks good!

I dont see the need to pull seals on a framless window, but if it works for you then go for it. And you are right it really doesnt take that long
llooks good. what type of sungard you using on that?

And you are right it really doesnt take that long You really don't need to pull gaskets on frameless windows.BUT in a case like this or a 3000GT/Stealth, pulling the gaskets make life A WHOLE LOT easier. If the gaskets come out easily, why on earth would you choose to struggle thru an otherwise easy install? I am ALL ABOUT making life easier.
Looks good dude !!!
When you guys say good job or nice. what is it are you refuring to? The car ? Or the tint job? If the tint job, how can you tell if the job came out good if you cant see nothing from that picture
my "good job" is just in reference to him doing the job (his first one of the model), getting it done and feeling like it wasn't all the bad to do.
I don't pull frameless seals typically, unless it's just so insanely easy that it's silly not to. 05+ Mustangs are sorta similar, the door panels come off in about 10 seconds - and with the panel off, the window jumping up and down is irrelevant.. so, eh... why not. Even paneled, it's still only a 30 / 45 minute car Everything else, that's what a good flattened tinter's skull is for... push till it hurts. I didnt use sun gard on this particular vehicle I used some stuff from GIS distributing which seems to work very well thanks for all the kudos .... As for the panels I dont pull them unless I have to
nice job.
Corvettes suck.....I hate em......dont get me wrong ....I want one.... Corvette customers are the worst........ QUOTE (TINTZEUS @ Oct 20 2007, 10:40 PM) [*]555452[/*] nice job. Corvettes suck.....I hate em......dont get me wrong ....I want one.... Corvette customers are the worst........ i dont mind doing vette's ant more since i started snapping i love that shrink man it makes the vette just like normal door glass now
I've got this 07 Vette in here and it has this little hole for your hand to go in and on the back side of this hole is a soft button you press to open the door to get in. On the inside it has just a small button on the handle grip you push to let yourself out. Now I opened the door and tripped the latch so the door thinks its shut so the window rolls up but now I can't figure out how to get the metal latch to release so I can shut the door I have tried holding both releases on the inside and outside of the door while use my screwdriver to flip the latch back down but I can't figure this one out does someone know if there is something else I can try? Thanks guys.
I use a bone while pushing the button
you might have to latch it further in to get it to trip push the pin switch in to turn the light off and back on the circuit might have gone to sleep with the doors open make sure the transponder remote is near the ignition
got it man thanks a million. I have attempted this back glass once with no luck and I think I'm going to try one more time and I'm calling it quits. I tried the leaving the ears on top and bottom but just can't figure that shrink out. Its very tough.
