So canadian tinters

how is the tinting business up there in the winter months?...how do you tint i sub zero temps?..you guys are loco

Not bad, I usually stay relatively busy...although its not like it is in the summer. As long as dealers are selling cars though....I am tinting them. As far as the cold... I personally don't find it that big of a challenge. May take a few minutes for the car to warm up once its in the shop but other than that, its pretty straight forward...just get'er done! As long as you get as much water out as possible....there shouldnt be a problem.

wheres everyone getting most of their tint jobs from in the winter..cause im only mobile, i odnt have a shop people drive by and see window tinting installed here or nething. im more like word of mouth. so most of the work you get from dealerships orrrr whaaat?!!?

The dealers and putting in many yrs in the biz where reapeat customers and word of mouth comes into play (and a secret business tactic which I won't post)

How many canadian tinters does it take to tint a car?
4...one to tint it and 3 to stand around saying: take off eh.....I can tint that in 1/2 an hour.

A friend of mine has a business in Ontario making a killing. Does the tinting in the summer and remote starts in the winter . He is a tintng shop but makes more money on the remote starts .

I had thought about remote starts but in my area the price for doing those is whored RIGHT out. There's guys that will do that for $130 INSTALLED here

At least with tint the art of install is apparent immediately after you do the job..the art of install isn't apparent unless your car wiring gets fried 6months down the road..then you know it was a bad job

guess that applies to the industry on the hold, despite where in the world you are..
