I can't get my plotter to cut the size listed in the programs settings. I'm using LXi master Plus and a Roland GX-500 No matter what size I specify, it cuts it 6 inches, it should be 9. I tried adjusting everything I could think of but nothing changes except the position it cuts on the vinyl. Does anyone know this program or plotter and what I can do to fix it? wall.gif

It sounds like your resolution is off. I am not familiar with your software, but check in either your options or perhaps plotter setting's of the software. If you find resolution in one of those, then just take it down a bit, until you get the right size cut!

Could be that your plotter menu is set to ignore the PC input and use it's own defaults, I had something similar with their SP-540 printer

I dont believe so! the plotters are device driven, meaning that the software is its boss in a sence.

I had the same problem when I set my plotter up, and I just went in and tweaked my resolution, and now it cuts perfect everytime. can you post a pic of your software screen? if so I may be able to help you find where to look for the adjusments.

I set the resolution higher, no difference. GTO and my wife think it's the software, together they couldn't figure out why the program was malfunctioning. For some reason in the production manager, in the panels area the size is changing by itself and no matter what size it is to cut at, it's always wrong. Say I set it to cut 6inches it will plot at 2inches. It's hard to explain but I'll post the image soon.

did you try setting the resolution lower? If not Knock it down a lot and see what happens. If you only go down a notch, you may not notice the difference. Now did changing the resolution do anything at all? If it even changed by a 16th of an inch then it is prob just your resolution, and you will just have to find what the resolution should be set at to get it to cut properly.

I understand exactly what you mean. When I first set my plotter up Every thing was coming out much bigger then it should have. After tweaking my resolution up and down, I finaly got it to cut right.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
