Good to know, I been using them for several months now and I certainly like them better than Olfa. thumb.gif

That's great. We are finding that alot.

Would certainly like to hear all feedback...good or bad.

Many Thanks!

Hey IP...

I would be interested to hear what you are using. Also, if both brands don't fit your needs...what do you find about them that make them both "suck:?

Hey one slick tinter.

Thanks for the comment. Maybe I can explain what may be happening...here goes...

GENERALLY...the hardness of a blade determines if it will snap cleanly every time. Most quality snap blades out there are going to score around 60 (again...generally) on a Rockwell "C" scale. A blade being too hard will cause it to shatter unexpectedly or it will make that blade difficult to hold an edge.

A blade that is way too soft will bend easily...but you can't get it to break anywhere close to cleanly. Softer steels are also found in knife blades that are designed to be sharpened...certainly not the case with snap blades. Blade manufacturers strive to find a middle ground.

The other thing effecting "snapping" is how deep the individual snap lines are cut into the blade strip.

KDS provides two different blade types. The both have different hones. It is possible that you may have gotten ahold of one of our blade types that does not fit you style of tinting.

If you will send me an email, I will be happy to arrange to have a few blades sent to you (no charge, of course) to evaluate.

As for the blade not being as sharp...or lasting as long...that would be a first! Most of the time, we have heard back that our blades last longer than our competitors. This could be part of the same problem I outlined above.

Let's get you some blades to test and see.

Thanks for the comment...it is much appreciated.
