got 1 coming on tuesday, any tips ive being reading here that the b/g explodes easy when you heat it,im worrying now,any advice guys?
Just take your time. If the back window is laminated I would avoid putting too much heat on it. If my memory severs me right that back window is not laminated tho.

the ml is not a hard tint the back window takes the most time.
thanks guys, ill shrink it slow on a low heat setting,my main worry was them merc defroster lines can be pretty thick so when the peanuts start popping up it takes a lot of heat to get em out
wire wool the backglass with 0000 wire wool.
Dont heat the %&$# out of the matrix like diamond tints did...just tell the customer there may be a little silvering on the matrix and save yourself some ££££
i dont mind the matrix silvering, ill try the steelwool does it really help prevent them pop ups?
If you shrink it correctly it will be fine...the wire wool just removes the laquer layer from the heater line, it works for me.
I find soap shrinking to be the best. what type of film are you using?
i soap shrink also and i use johnsons greystone but on limo i use rayguard johnsons as theres no limo in greystone, thanks mate ill give the wool a go,a quick once over or do you really have to scrub it?
i never had a problem shrinking on that glass
I once had a wierd situation with my uncles 2000 ml the stock stereo didnt work, no sound and i check all the wiring and fuses and found out that the stock radio wans't powering the remote wire that turns on the factory amp. What I did to get it to work was tap the ignition wire to turn on the factory amp and it worked. About and hour later after we ate dinner and came outside and there was the bg in pieces. Now my uncle calls insurance and they replace it with a new bg and the thing exploded again. So now my uncle told me to undo the wiring and it never happened again, my uncle didnt blame me because it just not logicall that something like the radio would be tied into the bg in any way. Just thought I share this story.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
