Took the rear seat out, popped rear pannels, and could not get the f'n headrests out in order to pull the rear deck, any suggestions. i wanted to remove this because the 3rd brake light rests against the rear glass.
its this body style..
It does not come out. The dealership does not know how to remove them. Get a bulldozer to squeegee past the brake light
It does come out...there is a special trick for the headrests - you need a pick tool and a mirror to release a hidden clip.
the headrest will lay day down flat ...there is a button to push and they lay down flat.
the bulldozer works great....makes the install real eazy.
its a lil done but you can git er dunn
We have one of these in today and there is no and I mean NO room to squeegee in behind the brake light.

Dunno what we are going to do It's a biatch to do but you can getter done. Use a bulldozer behind the light and a slammer for the corners. I've installed and did an R/R without deck removal.
I have had the same struggles installing while the package tray is in.Removing the tray is about a 25 minute job.You only need to be familiar with Benz cars.
has there been a 'How 2' posted on the removal of the shelf? i've got one of these in and i can't see a straightforward way of getting the shelf out
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
