Is there any matrix on the b/g that I have to worry about?

yes it has a small matrix with tight little dots that resist vinyl. the only thing i have got to stick to it is premium avery vinyl mounted with rapid tac solution. www.rapidtac.com

first i lightly sand it with 600 wet n dry.apply the vinly let it sit there and marinate before i squeegee it out.

i just tint them, they end up not sticking uniformly. so it looks good. easy solution, doesnt work for all cars though.

No need to vinyl or glue....the matrix area is not very large. Just do BG first...squeegee as much solution out from the matrix area as possible, then install roll ups and fixed quarters. Finally, squeegee hard with blue max on the matrix area of BG and follow up w/gold hard card (or any hardcard) while applying heat. Works all the time!!! Did about 12 coupes so far no complaints....
