Looks good from outside. I didn't really pay attention while installing.
They finally fixed the clarity problems (no more orange peel). I personally don't care for the adhesive (STICK! STICK! PLEASE STICK!) But this film is still in it's infancy. So its black from the outside but has a greenish tint on the inside?
yes and the greenish hue isn't as bad as other films
Question: If you put 2 layers of tint on a window but its not the same type of tint is it going to look weird?
(blade @ Nov 28 2007, 06:00 PM) [*]566671[/*] yes and the greenish hue isn't as bad as other films
If the adhesive can't adhere to the glass it's not going to adhere to the SR coating of another layer of film.
Dont really understand what you guys are saying but i mean like if there not the same exact shades?
It can be done. The end result will be a darker version of the first layer. The internal is a whole other story. Be careful not to use a full metal film inside as the internal reflectivity will be crazy. Go with a non reflective film

i have some issues with the adhesive too rolling up on the edges...they sent me some additive to put in the water with my j&j....it seems to work however it leaves smudges when you squeege over it...and is only good for one day as it has floaties in the water bottle the next day ..and has to be scrubed out and rinsed out super well....i do like the clairity and shrinkability....oh i use Hp supreme...and it doenst seem to be every shade that does it....16 and 30 for me
From Solargard:
"Hey, guys, we've got an awesome new film to replace our awesome old film. Sure, it's not any better looking, and yes, it's a pain to install, and yes, you'll have customers coming back randomly, but, HEY! you get to mix new slip solution everyday! Just add our new mystery solution, and have fun!. What's that? other brands don't require mystery solutions? that's boring! Yay Solargard!
