Full Version: SunTek question

Quick question for ya guys. In Wisconsin the tint law is 35% rears and 50% front(sides). In SunTeks carbon line they only show 5% 18% 35% 45% 70%. Is there any other % available in the carbon? If no, does any one know what the 45% reads on the meter when installed? or would i be better off going with the 70%? Any answers appreciated.
Thank you,
Mike S

70% will net about 55% to 58% on most cars.

45% is going to meter illegal.

Trust me, you will have customers get stopped from time to time with a 50% film installed. You have to explain to EVERYONE that due to batch to batch variations of both glass and film you give no guarantee that the film will meter legal. It's best to print that on the receipt!

For those that want 100% compliance with the law keep the 70% on hand. I think this year I installed 70% film on about 6 cars.

I know Carbon 35 meters 27-29 depending on the glass so i would say the carbon 45 is metering 37-39 but i've never used any of the 45, i use hp 35 cause it usually net's 32 on the glass.

We install Carbon 45 all the time... it meters consistant 36-37% ON glass... Oregon is 35% NET so this film works a treat!
SIR TINTSALOT
good to know, even though it's all illegal over here.

They do carbon 55% in the UK?

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
