What do the MASTERS feel looks the sweetist on the Caddy w/green factory tint?
I was thinkin about the Centaur 28% or atr30ch or ???What looks good?
True Grey. I've done a quite a few of em, I think they look great with it.
What shade? metal?
HP...18/38 alot of just 38%. 38/50%. They all look good. Just my opinion though, but I saw one I did a couple months ago today, he was getting brakes done next door, and it caught my eye right away when I pulled in this morning. Black, with 38%.
This one is the Wht Pearl what would the 38% make the total %? How come the 38% is'nt in the dealer cards?
ok O.T. Thak's for the heads up.
either, but i like the ATRcharcoal better.
i have done lots of caddies with atr charcoal.
MDOG, Hi What's the Shade ? on those?
on the black one its 35% on the doors and 5% on the backglass. on the white one its 35% all around
They look good MDOG
we used centaur for years here. it has too much of a shiney look for my taste.
Yea, I was kinda thinkin it would clash w/pearl color
i dont think it would look bad, dont lots of them that way.
To any long time tinters my newbie question is I just did some windows on a 2000 Escalade, It came out real good, but Im having a problem with the back quater glass. I am fighting this more than a curved back glass, any ideas would help
thanks Blown R1
so what's the problem?
It seems to be curved in both directions like a dome. after I do a wet anchor and try to heat shrink the fingers I end up with at least one crease in the film I did notice after the anchor I have pretty good size fingers to work out
thanks for the quick response BlownR1
I like the ATR CH it is on mine and it looks sweet--As far as the back quarters take the big fingers and push em into a bunch of little ones, how long have you been laying film?
I been laying down film 3 years, not trying to make it a profession. just a hobby
I have learned alot from just reading this forum I belong to a couple of motorcycle forums with my 00 R1 but this is the first window tint forum and so far very impressed thanks for the quick response reddot. Blown R1 i tried t put a pic in its telling me "you cannot upload this type of file" what the heck does that mean?
Hi All,I'm having a problem shrinking this bg w/centaur 28% on 99'el dorado. I tried wet & the bounce with anchor ways on 2 seperate pcs. I got the top done fine, But I keep baking the bottom. Also when I go to install I can't squegee the bottom well. I use a conquerer. I did remove the backlite, do I need to remove the deck carpet? How?
As far as the rear deck goes, it depends whether or not the deck is touching the glass. I have had to take a few apart, but normally it isnt a problem. Taking these apart can take a while if youre not used to dismantling vehicles.
When molding just take your time. Try low heat. Try to seperate your fingers into smaller, easier, flatter, more managable sections. If you start to overheat in one area, go to another area, then come back. When squeej'n the bottom you can use a few different things. Long blue turbo, 12" white card, Side Swiper, Conquerer, etc. Youre using the conquerer, that to me would be too short to reach back there sufficiently. Try the Side Swiper, or 12" white card. Hope that helps
I have a 1993 Eldorado that is my daily driver, when I tinted it i removed the rear deck cover and stop lamp. You gotta remove the backseat to get at the fasteners for the rear deck cover.
Thank's FBJ, I'll try slowin down, Thank's to you to BOC
