How soon can you wash/clean tinted windows?

Hey fellas, need some help here. I had my 2 roll-up windows re-done on Monday with Supreme 15... it came it nicely and everything. But that Wednesday I had some bodywork done to my car, and to my surprise they also took it for a car wash on Thursday! I don't know if this is a routine thing for an autobody shop to do but it was definitely a surprise (good or bad, I am not sure). So anyway, the guys at the car wash obviously cleaned my tint and what not. Was this way too early for the windows to be cleaned? Are there any ill effects?

PS: Is it standard thing for car wash places to only carry non-ammonia spray cleaners?

Thanks a lot for any help!

don't know what they use to clean with. don't worry about it. just use a recommended cleaner from now on. your illegal tint will be fine. Flaugh.gif

As long as it still looks good, no creases. bubbling etc, you're fine. The "don't roll down" rule is so that the film can have a chance to bond to the glass. thumb.gif

Films today are able to withstand any household strength window cleaners even with ammonia.....

thumb.gif Yeah the films do great, it's the PS adhesives that don't react well...

lol I'm glad my 15% will be fine.

They used Simoniz glass cleaner with no ammonia.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
