Viper Alarm, Jumped Starter, No Siren now

Hello,

Hoping someone can help, I have a viper alarm but it was installed before I bought the car. Recently i was having trouble with my starter and solenoid. During some troubleshooting I used a screwdriver to cross the positive and negative to test the starter. Unfortunately after I did that, the alarm siren stopped working.

If I disable the alarm, the light blinks and I heard it clicking in the dash during disable or enable, yet the siren doesnt make a sound. If I try to set off the panic alarm, no sound either. Is there a fuse in the system somewhere? Do you think I blew the siren?

i would have to say that i doubt that you blew the siren. i could be wrong i just doubt it personally.

there should not be a fuse in the siren wire, it doesnt come with one and i dont know anyone that has ever added it in.

there should be a brown wire from the brain running to the red wire on the siren. then a black wire from the siren should go to ground. make sure that you have those still connected. if you have a test light or multimeter check to see if the red wire is getting positive 12v when the siren should be sounding so that you know.

good luck

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
