Full Version: Viper 2 cars 1 Remote

I hear that i can program my remotes in such a way that I can operate the systems in 2 cars with 1 remote. How does this work? How dod I program the remotes? I have a Viper 550 esp in the first car, and am planning on hooking up the second car. which systems will be compatible with this kind of setup?

Thanks

Viper makes LOTS of different models depending on what you want to do... to answer your question would be next to impossible with the information available...

Your best bet.. smoke on in to your local Viper alarm dealer and ask those same questions thumb.gif

the second alarm needs to be the same type (ESP) as the first one
a 4 button remote can be programmed to operate both vehicles with seperate buttons

it is possible to have the a 2nd alarm learn the 1st alarms remote
but when the cars are parked together
one will arm and the other dis-arm at the same time

.... You can have 1 remote work 2 cars... the remotes can be configured where one button arms/disarms car 'A' and another button arms/disarms car 'B'

DEI (Viper) also has replacement buttons for the remotes available to replace the 'lock/unlock' with 'I' and 'II'....

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
