I have a custy that wants some r15b installed for a VIP room in her business, but I really don't want to buy a whole roll of 36" tint..does anyone have 50 ft or so of 36"width bronze they wanna sell me? I have to have it completed before march 1...I will buy a whole roll if I have to, but the odds of ever using it after this job are very slim.

If you got http://johnsonwindowfilms.com and contact them and establish an account (free), you can get into their pre-cut program. You give them the measurements and number of pieces of the film you need, and they send them to you in individual cut rolls all ready to reverse roll in place. They only charge a few pennies more per sqft for this service. This program was designed for the small individual installer that doesnt need to buy full rolls all the time. Check it out. Tell Joe, Jim from LindsayTint refered yah and he will take care of you. Or you could just raise your prices to cover the cost of the whole roll....lol

does johnson have a bronze reflective series? I need a one way mirror effect for this room.
Cuttingedge
Yes they do and its called Sunset Bronze. Here is a link: http://johnsonwindowfilms.com/SB.php

Sunset bronze doesn't have any silver reflectivity according to the page...or am I missing something? Solar silver looks like a mirrored film, but I need the bronze tone.

Sunset Bronze Product Benefits :

• Sputtered metal construction – warm, copper shades that will not fade
• High heat rejection – helps lower energy costs and provides a more comfortable office/household experience
• Cuts down sun glare – reduces eye strain while delivering easier outside viewing
• Blocks 99% of harmful UV rays – reduces interior fading (furniture, wood floors, rugs and paintings) and helps minimize health risks
• CST scratch-resistant hardcoat – long lasting durability
• Lifetime Residential / 10 Year Commercial guarantee – manufacturer's warranty against cracking, peeling, bubbling or delamination

Depending on the specific need, there are several Sunset Bronze films to choose from. For homeowners who don't necessarily want a strong window film look, SB50 provides just that subtle aesthetic touch. While SB20 and SB30 films
deliver a stronger bronze tone that matches up well
with today's commercial building exteriors
.

Solar Silver Product Benefits :

• Aluminum metal construction – non-fading design providing superior heat and glare rejection
High reflectivity – delivers excellent interior privacy
• High heat rejection – helps lower energy costs and provides a more comfortable household/office experience
• Blocks 99% of harmful UV rays – reduces interior fading (furniture, wood floors, rugs and paintings) and helps minimize health risks
• CST scratch-resistant hardcoat – long lasting durability
• Lifetime Residential / 10 Year Commercial guarantee – manufacturer's warranty against cracking, peeling, bubbling or delamination

You gonna get the mirror effect 'cept it's gonna be Bronze, not silver. The darker the VLT, the more profound the effect will be. True sputtered bronze is shiny as hell. Where are you? I have a 36" roll around here somewhere. Almost EVERYBODY out there will sell in 25' increments, no need to buy a whole roll.

Sorry for the confusion, I am dealing with llumar film, and r15b is a mirrored bronze film...silver mirror on one side, and bronze on the other.

JWF's equivalent is Mirror Bronze 10%. It is part of their architectural line. I think they are discontinuing it. dunno.gif

I talked to Victory Vinyls in Calgary and they are sending me a sample book for global window films...I hope the bronze reflective will work.
thanks for the help so far everyone. thumb.gif

Have a look at Hanitas Optitune, fitted some last week and the 5% is silver reflective on the exterior and a dark bronze to the interior.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
