Ok plotter people

Does anyone know of a program to change .ai files to a 'older' version ??

My sign software doesn't like to load the newest saves of .ai files...and honestly... I'm too cheap to go buy the newest version of Illustrator...(unless I have to)

Open it in Acrobat Pro, save it as .EPS.

From now on, ask for legacy compatible .ai files.

i have corel draw 11 and it'll let you save ai files in older versions

I use coral as well does a good job for me.

Use Illustrator if you can. I was using WinPCSign Letter and had to save them as EPS 6.0 for them to cut. Corel Draw does a good job if you save it at Ai less than 8.0 I think.

I rushed out and bought Illustrator and it seems to do the trick! I just save in a older format and it's all good!
