Full Version: JEEP TINTING
Quick question should i put the tint on the inside or outside? 96 cherokee
it should be on the inside.
alright i need to do it myself seeing as how i live in hickville....no window tinters around closest is 1 hour away and it will cost 400bucks so any tips?
I think you are wrong there, all jeep years 96-2000 the tint has to go on the outside.

cherokee or grand cherokee?
just regular cherokee sport and i live where theres lots of snow.....so i was thinking if i have to scrape ice? also it sees its fair share of mud
cool!
yeah.....it is SO much easier to put it on the outside.....just be sure you get the all weather window tint film..... Gila Cling On film....

zupp big dawg
yea i definitely suck at doing tint.....i used a whole roll and didnt even get a window done...rear driver side....waste of 10 bucks lol walmart special on tint!!! haha shuld i try different tint
you are going to spend more time than it is worth doing it yourself.....where are you located? someone here might be closer than you think......
Punxsutawney Pa 2hours noth of pittsburgh
superpages shows 12 located within 100 miles of you and I am sure you can find a better price unless you are looking at doing something on every window including the windshield......
Someone on here may know someone close to you..... http://yellowpages.superpages.com/listings...+%26+Tinting%5E
$400 is a little high.
depends on market.....and also on the film choice
true there.
Come on Willie...why ruin our fun????
wait...u dont put the tint on the outside? i charge extra for interior instalation.

youre going to have a lot of problems tinting that car. we take almost everything apart when we tint them. also you have 11 windows.
only thing I take "apart" on a jeep wrangler is the spare tire from the inside.....what else would you take off of it?
yup, lower rubbers, hatch trim and all the surrounding trim on the quarters, then pop all three out. oh and yes the tire as well
I mis-typed on the model.....I only take out the windows on those if they are just too dirty.....very lucky that I don't even see those anymore in the shop.
GOOD LUCK is all I can say.
i like getting them cuz we charge a lot for them, and theyre not that bad. a lot of ?'s to ask though. 2 or 4 door? defrost? wings open or stationary? if its a 2dr, does it have vents in the quarters? all that. if they keep saying yes the price gos sky high. but nobody else around here will touch them, so theyre left paying our price.
well i tinted it myself and i must say its not that bad for a first time tryin the only problem i had was with my back window one huge piece lots of fingers

practice,practice,practice
good luck
this post has blow my mind. this guy goes from not knowing if the film goes on the inside or outside, but by the end of the post he knows what fingers are.
