Well i did this one last week and it looks like i more than likely fried that antenna module on the driver side rear pillar. I noticed right away when i finished it that the keyless did not work anymore, only worx while pointing at the driver door ir sensor. I even wrapped it up with paper towels. My guess is that water may have trickled down the wires connected to the glass straight into the plug. Hopefully ill get it out of here today. This is my first big mistake and hopefully the last.

UGH, I had that happen on a 5 series beemer.

People that drive these cars just don't understand what a pain they are to deal with compared to more common cars.

these are exactly the reasons that we charge almost tripple the normal amount on those pita cars.

It will dry out....over time. But you can take off panels and blow dry...with a compressor on low air or a hair dryer.

Its the moisture that does it....the only module I ever had a problem with was in the drivers door.....

Well i was hoping it would dry out too but i wasnt so lucky. On the other hand i work with the dealer so i wont have to dish out the cash for this thing. One of the techs here said it was $500 for this module. I hope this thread helps in making others aware so they can avoid this.
