Full Version: new 08 honda's
has any one had a issue with the new honda's. as far as the tint not sticking aswell as it use to around the edge's. i found on the new civic and accord 2 or 4 doors that the edge's like to roll a bit. i dont have this issue on the old one's or any other car. i think the one's im doing a preped in a different manner or have some type of coating on it
which windows? I've had a bit of problem with a couple of civic coupes on the back glass. They have left the shop and about a day later they start to roll back at the bottom.
oh...and these were brand new cars....just rolled off the truck, so if it was some kind of treatment...it wasnt at the dealership
I've done a few and nothing so far.

new york area and any tint we use slp express suntek sungard every 08 had an issue so far
did an 08 civic si yesterday with no issues.
never had an issue, do many hondas. maybe its the weather over there along with the slip or someting like that.
Like I said, I only had it happen on 2 (and I do alot of Honda's)...both were coupes. One of them did have to have the back glass replaced later on because of a recall from Honda.
no problems here but the gaskets are tighter than a virgin i hate to open doors but i got yer done as they say down here
sounds wierd though damm hope you find the answer keep us posted
update ... i sprayed the new honda rear with alcohol then first then went with my normal prep no problems since
sweet good to know if i do come across a prob like that thanks for the update....
I did the rollups on a 08 jeep liberty yesterday w/ suntek carbon and it didn't want to stick for chit. Top edge kept rolling back like it had armor all on the glass. It was enough to get me pissed, not a problem with slip or anything it was something about that glass.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
