help with using remote to open trunk

can someone tell me what wire on the valet 712t to use to make it open the trunk on a ford crown vic. I tried using the red/white wire and tapping into the push button switch (trunk release) on the dash.

what year crown vic.. FYI: some crown vics use a reversal rest @ ground setup and you'll need to wire a relay to make it work...

I thought white/blue was 2nd channel? I'm not sure, I don't deal with DEI.

Its the red/ white wire for trunk release on the the DEI alarms. you need a standard automotive relay 30 amps. Terminal 86 and 87 to 12 volts + , 85 to the red/white and terminal 30 to the trunk release switch wire. Fuse the 12 volt with a 10 amp fuse.
