Off the top of my head it sounds like you got everything hooked up right. Do you have the drivers door open when your trying to lock it? I don't think it will lock with the door open. Try closing the latch and test it again. One time something like that happened to me I thought the car needed a double lock pulse to lock, turns out the door was open and made it work that way. Btw I think the green wire goes to the alarm green door trigger input.

Turn off the cap lock it means your yelling. Look at the manual make sure you program it for the right platform. The 1700 g does convience and bypass on some cars/ trucks. Check the manual and program it to the right car.

have you used a meter to test and make sure that the lock wire is in fact sending out a negative signal when it is supposed to lock? that is the first thing i would do. i would unplug the 1700g, and meter the wire right at the harness that would be plugged into the 1700g. and make sure the signal is getting there.
secondly, double and triple check that it is programmed for the right platform.
thirdly, attempt to just ground that wire (the 1700G side) and see if that locks the doors.
if everything else is right, as in right platform, a negative signal is coming out of the brain and going into the 1700g, then i will assume that most likely the unit itself is malfunctioning and it would be best to in one way shape or form try another unit.
what kind of vehicle is it also?
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
