Full Version: Car Salesman
Against my normally way better judgement, I tinted a car for a reputable car dealership and gave them a decent deal. When the salesman came at 5:00pm-ish he brought me a P.O. number for half the cost and a promise to come pay the remaining half first thing tomorrow morning, and me being dumb/trusting let him go. Who wants to take bets I have to chase him down like a bounty hunter tomorrow? I'm not worried about getting my $$$, I just hate getting rude/violent.
Put your running shoes on, sales people are pretty un-reliable unless your buying a car at that moment in time. ( their are exceptions )
I have not done dealer work in 2 years because I got tired of fighting for my money

He pays for half the job, he gets half a tint job ! Rip off half the tint, when you have the $$ for a full tint job, the car will have a full tint job !
Wow He proved me wrong and called to bill the entire amount to the P.O.#!!!!! I didn't even have to call or anything. I'm kinda speechless, thats never happened before.

Once in a while you get the right actions out of a dealership. I won't release a car until I have a PO, and trust me even then you still have to chase down payments from time to time. It's amazing how they all want custom work done yesterday at wal-mart prices, then take their sweet ass time getting you your money.
Glad to hear it worked out for you! I don't know if you already do this, but make sure any person picking up a dealer car print's and signs their names on your invoice with the exact dollar amount owed.
I never give dealerships a deal. I charger them as much as I can. 1 They always need to be first priority 2 They always nit pick 3 They end up paying you 30-60 days later sometimes. PASS!!! Id rather hookup the guy thats paying me cash on the spot!lol.

Hate waiting for dealerships to pay, but for us, the pre-load stock units (if you can get em) in the winter, keeps us alive till season hits.
we have three dealers and that is it, they are awesome when if comes to being slow in the winter...mostly because we do a bunch of work for them in the summer....and then don't get paid until the winter...
I once held a dealer car for three months for $100.00 My rule has always been no money no tinty Go ahead call the cops!! Ill dial the phone for ya
I don't do dealership work unless they pay me that day! They tried the p.o. crap and i stood my ground and now the dealerships know that when they come to me i get payed by the end of the day! I have enough retail work that i just can't see waiting 30 to 60 days for a tint job!!!!!
