Full Version: Solar Guard
Any good? hp or np?
It is SolarGard and you should just call them and ask for some samples to try out and compare to a few others like Llumar and Suntek.
ive used a bit... shrunk nice, looks great.. is was there regular film...
i had some peeling issues on roll downs. what i started tinting with though. could have been mistakes made by me. but out of 30 cars, i had 2 come back with roll down peeling at the gasket.
All i use Solar Gard Supreme, trained with them, happy with the film still , but we all have our favorites
Good film Supreme. Very clear. Lasts a long time. Has static issues especially in the winter. Like it alot

The Hp is very workable, clear overall a decent film. I had it on two of my cars. After about a year it started to turn purple. It still looked good from the outside but from withen you could see the purple color. I chalked it up to me being to picky...

Peeling at the top edge tells me that you are running the edge too close. Back it off a bit. With practice you can get a window to look "shaved" without actually shaving the edge. It's a balancing act tho, I still get a few that peel if I get in a hurry. (darkdan @ Apr 24 2008, 05:53 PM) [*]615978[/*] (wetintcars.com @ Apr 24 2008, 06:43 AM) [*]615848[/*] Good film Supreme. With all the folks here who are willing to jump over to a new film because of price (nevermind that it's NEW), I'd say 2 years constitutes "longevity". used the omega plus for about 2 years easy to work with but will start to turn purple in about 2 years
they are reworking the adhesive on supreme- should be out by now. Peeling? good grief! It was falling off the back glass!!
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
