I tried shrinking it using soap, dryer sheets, and powder but could not get it so finally I had to 2 piece it. Is there a technique that is better for it? I am using Global QDP.

Next time try pulling some small "fingers" to the side (like you were going to relief cut) before you shrink it. Then once you install it they should heat right out if you made them small enough. Be sure to take your time, and don't let it frustrate you. That usually works for me with Llumar ATR. Good luck next time thumb.gif

Not an easy shrink at all, I use the glove with the film facing up, shrink most of it then flip so the liner is facing up and shrink with a ppf card in a paper towel, usually works well

It is arguable that QDP is a challenging film to shrink to begin with. If you are not experienced with QDP and you have the opportunity to use a different film, you should possibly consider it. Good luck.

Are you using the new QDP or old stuff? I tried an eclipse with the new stuff last week cuz I really wanted to test out its shrinkability, and it shrank like butta. check out this thread....you may get some input that may help dunno.gif

Old QDP vs. new QDP

Flaugh.gif 96 eclipse sucks, got to shrink er slow and move around alot to let the film cool down. Using qdp just adds fuel to the fire Flaugh.gif Unless you're OST he's the man pitie.gif

I did one for the first time few weeks ago and found it wasn't that bad. I used low heat on top corners and came out nice

I actually did a 95 a couple days ago, and It was actually very easy to do. Looking at it, it kinda makes you cringe, but I used Llumar ATR 40 CH and it was easy as pie! You really shouldnt be scared of this BG

anchor the center but about 6 inches more if possible, then pull on the film to stretch it low and tight. apply the heat on high setting to finger but pull straight and film should shrink itself on to bg. make sure you dont trim so that you have lots of extras to pull. watch the beetle video and youll see what im talkin about. only global can do this. thumb.gif
ClassOnGlass
its tuff and with qdp even tuffer just go slow and keep it moving thumb.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
