I am pretty sure that tool is for flat glass (residential / commercial)..
The only tool you should need to make patterns is knife/marker/ruler (for me anyways).... most don't even use all that ... just a knife is all they need. Don't fall for the gimiks...
That's a flatglass tool, works decent on flatglass but i'd rather use a 5 way if/when i may need it.
That tool is crazy lookin. I'v never seen that one befor. I'd take it for free..........
i have one...i still dont know what the hell it is.

I got one for a free trial,,, no idea how to use it properly. Don't waste your time/money!
I thought that I should chime in on this tool. While never a big seller in the industry, it was designed for flat glass use. If you a familiar with the problem of cutting all the way to the ending edge on a flat glass trim with a traditional trim guide, you know that it is difficult to get both you hands in there and keep the blade positioned properly. Sometimes, you change the camber of the knife blade and leave a larger light gap in the corner. This tool acats as a trim guide and cutter all in one unit. It has a rib in the middle that allows you to rock the tool side to side with a blade at each end. So, you rouck it to start the cut at the initial edge and begin the pulling cut across the window. About 4-5 inches from the far edge, you rock the tool onto the eother edge and make a pulling cut back from that edge too. This is hard to describe in words, but I am trying.
That being said, do I use the tool...no. Can I see that it would be useful and some may like it...yes. The other bad thing about this tool is that you need to buy special blades for it also as they need to be notched on the back side. Overall, if you think you might like it, give it a try. In this industry, anything that can save you some time will make you money. Hope that helps.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
