hi. my car wont unlock like when i am standing next to it and i hit the unlock button it wont unlock the car its like it has no signal what should i do about it?

What kind of car, from the switch or the remote, facktory keyless,aftermarket etc,did it just stop or had someone jusr worked on it ?
